Redentore

A photographic account of Venice in one of the days when its beauty shines at its best: the celebration of Redentore, every year during the summer, which commemorates the end of the plague that spread in Venice in the Middle Ages and according to the legend was sent away by a miracle made by Saint Giorgio, called Redentore (redeemer) ever since.

The celebration sees everyone gathering on their boats with family and friends in order to see the fire works that are popped by the island of Giudecca, just off shore from the main square, Piazza San Marco.

The pictures has been edited using Apps such as Fotor and Insta Collage.
